The Contes invited me to an excellent and very enjoyable lunch at Paizanos. I haven't posted about it in a few years and this meal shows off a good selection of dishes, which is a good excuse for an update. Tom gave the restaurant a thumbs up for authenticity.
We ordered as appetizers an antipasto plate (of course) and homemade potato chips baked with gorgonzola cheese. Neither lasted very long.
Our entrees included chicken parm and eggplant parm, veal marsala, rigatoni a la vodka, calzone, and spaghetti with meatballs. Watch out---their portions are very generous.
Of course, we had to try their desserts. We enjoyed our lemon ice, cannoli, limoncello cake, and tiramisu.
