Chocolate Cream Pie

What do you do with leftover cream and bananas? Banana cream pie, of course.

Here is the blind-baked crust.

And here it is coated with 4 ouces of melted chocolate and a little bit of half-and-half. The chocolate tastes great and helps to seal the crust against moisture---Tyvek for pie crusts.

Here is the custard. Unfortunately, my technique failed me and I ended up with little pearls of cornstarch, but it didn't much affect the taste or mouth feel.

Three bananas later, here is the pie. Most of it went into the freezer for future breakfasts. A meringue is delicate so I didn't add one.
