Din Tai Fung is a Michelin-starred chain of dumpling restaurants. Their extremely courteous staff works very hard to make what are probably the best dumplings I have ever had.
The restaurant is famous for its xiao long bao = soup dumplings. They gave us an instruction card on how to eat them. It turns out that the right ratio is 3 parts vinegar to one part soy sauce. The dough is incredibly soft and tender.
The spicy dumplings had medium heat, delicious of course.
Some tasty morsels.
Some delicious vegetable dumplings.

The broth of this chicken soup was perfect.
Won ton soup is one of my favorites.
We ordered several types of dessert bao: sesame, taro, bean paste. The cake is made with rice and has a chocolate filling.
