The last thing I expected to find in the middle of a high-end Taiwanese shopping center was beef jerky. Actually, they carried both beef and pork jerky. I sampled several styles before I selected the classic style jerky.
This is not truck stop jerky. Not only is the packaging very attractive, but the meat is subtle. Cheap jerky is full of chemicals that turn my stomach. The classic jerky techniques emphasize natural processes. This jerky was flavorful without being strong, chewy without being tough.
