Hermann is a charming town and the home of historic Stone Hill Winery. Their Vintage 1847 Restaurant is a favorite of mine, particularly for their German Trio: schnitzel, sauerbraten, and bratwurst. Winstead's is a classic burger palace and Kansas City mainstay. Sadly, I only needed a salad. But it was a very satisfying salad and my server was very welcoming. The atmosphere reminded me of an earlier era in eating when simple food was still served in a white-and-chrome room with real tables. Thanks, folks!
