Ken and I had a wonderful breakfast at Alana's Cafe. The restaurant is at the edge of downtown Redwood City in a beautifully restored house from the turn of the century. The restaurant has some outside seating in the garden but we chose to enjoy the house.
Ken had the french toast, which was made from raisin focaccia, very thick and rich.
I had their special oatmeal pancakes, which were excellent. They give you a definite taste of oats with some of the texture of oatmeal as well. The pancakes were thick and hearty. I ordered a side of scrambled eggs to round things out.
