Grant and Marie invited me to join them for an evening at McKinnon's in Buckhead. This restaurant has been here for many decades and it gives one the comfortable, lived-in feel that reminds one of New Orleans. (Unfortunately, like many older buildings, they inherit poor access for the disabled.) The service was very gracious and welcoming.
The company was superb and the conversation sciltillating but the food, unfortunately, was disappointing. This is my crayfish etouffee. (The lighting gives you some idea of the ambiance of the place, by the way.) The sauce reminded me of canned soup in both taste and texture.
