The weather in Boston was vicious---extremely cold and very high winds. The thought of walking even a few blocks seemed like a bad idea. But I had spent the entire day before in the Parker House so I wanted to get out for dinner. Ruth's Chris was across the street and so I headed there. They are located in the old Boston City Hall. I had visited this building years before to eat at an earlier restaurant, one with very good food that also hosted one of the "we've switched" Folgers crystals ads.
The bread whetted my appetite.
My steak was wonderful: a bone-in ribeye, medium rare. It was meaty, juicy, tender, with just a bit of char on the outside. My creamed spinach was also outstanding.
My server was extremely gracious and helpful. The entire experience was a wonderful pick-me-up on a day in which just being outside was painful. I was extremely fortuante to be able to have the chance to enjoy this wonderful dinner.
