Eggplant Parm for Dinner

I usually ladle warm sauce on my eggplant parm slices at the last minute. This time, I stacked two with mozzarella and sauce, then heated them in the oven for a couple of minutes. The result was better integrated flavors. I am grateful for such wonderful food and the opportunity to learn.

I haven't made waffles in awhile. Rose Levy Berenbaum's recipe is rich with butter and full of flavor. I am grateful for such wonderful food.

Little America is a classic stop on a section of I-80 that has very few stops. The breakfast shop is simple, which is part of its appeal. The staff was very friendly and my breakfast a good start for the morning's drive. Thanks, folks!

I used some ingredients from the freezer to make a delicious etouffee. I am grateful for the making and the eating.

Peach Pancakes for Breakfast

Tomato Sauce

A box of tomatoes gave me the opportunity to make a big batch of tomato sauce using Kenji Alt-Lopez's recipe. The result was rich and full of flavor. I decided to freeze everything rather than can. I am grateful for the opportunity to make and enjoy such wonderful food.

Ice Cream at 402 Creamery

402 ice cream is always very creamy. My chocolate was good and chocolatey. The staff was great. I sat inside and enjoyed my treat. Thanks, folks!

Dan Dan Noodles

I've always enjoyed Dan Dan noodles but never before made them. A pickled vegetable gave the topping great tang. I made my own noodles using the Italian recipe. The result was delicious. I am grateful for the chance to make and eat such wonderful food.
