Homemade Pasta and Bolognese Sauce

I rolled out my pasta with my rolling pin and cut it with a knife. My bolognese sauce was from the freezer. Delicious! I am grateful.

Friday Night is Steak Night at El Gaucho in Portland OR

My dinner at El Gaucho in downtown Portland was both elegant and comfortable. The steakhouse provides elegant service that also conveys a sense of informality. My ribeye was perfect as were the sides. The stuffed baked potato was prepared tableside. It was rich but not overwhelming, a testament to what a stuffed baked potato can be. And how could I pass up dessert? Thanks, folks!

Dinner at Q in Portland

I enjoyed my earlier dinner at Q so much that I returned for another great meal. I tried to mix things up. I ate at the kitchen counter and very much enjoyed watching the staff's concentrated work. I enjoyed my amuse bouche, French onion soup, and barramundi. I couldn't help but enjoy my Pacific Northwest plum almond cake. Thanks, folks!

Short Ribs for Dinner

< Beef short ribs make for a tasty, hearty dinner. My short ribs came from UNL's Loeffel Meat Shoppe, my sauce made from my homemade beef stock. The result was delicious and satisfying. I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy making and eating such a wonderful meal.

Whrn i saw these at the grocery store, I had to try them. Itis crushed potato chips coated in chocolate. Theeffect is like a chocolate coated crispy rice buta little moresavory. Well played, Mr. Guy!

Harris Ranch runs a large cattle operation in California's Central Valley. They also run a restaurat on I-5 as well as one in California. It's been quite some time since I have had a chance to visit and I was happy to return. My steak was superb, my salad and sides great.
