Round The Bend Steakhouse

Round The Bend Steakhouse is just off I-80 north of Lincoln. I've passed by many times and decided to check it out on a nice day. The parking lot was huge and full as was the restaurant inside, testaments to their popularity. Great Nebraska beef, a hearty plate, and friendly service. Thanks, folks!

Barbeque Kitchen is just as great for breakfast as it is for lunch and dinner. That's ham with red eye gravy---what a way to start the morning. Thanks again, folks!

Chocolate Cake with Hazelnuts

The chocolate cake is from the King Arthur Cookbook. The chocolate neoclassic buttercream is from The Cake Bible. The hazelnuts are from Target. Couldn't be better.

Steak for Dinner

Dan Dan Noodles

I decided to make dan dan noodles. I used standard ramen noodles. My standard peanut sauce is vegetarian and uses coconut milk. Dan dan, in contrast, includes beef stock. Wonderfully savory and delicious!
