Banana Bread

I caught the Super Saver brown banana sale. The only feasible way to respond to such opportunities is banana bread. I made some for myself and some for friends. What a great treat, thank you!

Huevos Rancheros for Breakfast

Homemade green chile sauce, homemade black beans. This is a great, savory breakfast. I am grateful for the opportunity to make and enjoy this breakfast.

At The Airport: The Office at EWR Terminal A

My trip through Newark's great new Terminal A gave me a chance to revisit another Garden State favorite, The Office. I enjoyed their burgers when I lived in northern New Jersey. My classic burger with cheese and bacon was just great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, as always. Thanks, folks!

Dinner at Bloomfield Steak in Bloomfield NJ

Bloomfield Steak is a longstanding favorite in town. The scene was busy when I arrived and the staff was very helpful and friendly. My steak was great, tender and juicy. The brussel sprouts were prepared with balsamic vinegar and really tasty. Thanks, folks!

Breakfast at IHOP in Newark

I haven't been to New Jersey in awhile. I wanted to get up in the morning and enjoy being back. A short walk through sunlit Newark brought me to IHOP. It was just the right place: friendly, sunny, inviting. My omelet hit the spot and the coffee was plentiful. Thanks, folks!

Dinner at Mi Fiamma in Harrison NJ

Beef Stew for Dinner

Beef stew makes a delicious, hearty dinner for a cold day. The only thing that can make it better is a slice of whole wheat sourdough bread. I am grateful for such nourishing food.

Breakfast at Cultiva

I haven't been to Cultiva downtown in awhile and I was glad to see that they are doing well. My veggie omelet was delicious. My coffee was, of course, wonderful and hearty. The staff was great. Thanks folks!
