Lunch at Vike's Corner in Waverly NE

Justin and I visited Vike's in Waverly for a great lunch and a nice pause in the action of the day. My burger was excellent, flavorful and juicy. We took our food outside and enjoyed it. Of course, we went back inside for ice cream. I didn't have a chance to try the baked goods but they look superb. The proprietor was very friendly. I plan to use my Vike's Corner frequent eater card regularly. Thanks, folks!

Burger Time at Block 16 in Omaha

I had read about Block 16's outstanding burgers. The burger more than lived up to my expectations. Every element was superb and all the flavors were identifiable, a difficult achievement. The staff was great despite being very busy. Thanks, folks!

Breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast in South Pittsburgh TN

Big Bad Breakfast is a chain with several locations across the South. I visited their location in South Pittsburg TN, attached to the Lodge Cast Iron outlet, a very appropriate location. I arrived early and the staff was bright and cheery. My biscuits and gravy were great, the perfect way to start a day on the road. And the coffee kept coming. Thanks, folks!

Dinner at Sprig in Decatur

I tried the delicious pork tenderloin for a change. Of course, grits fries are a must at any visit to Sprig. The blueberry cake was a treat. The staff was great, as always. Thanks, folks!

Junior's, the Times Square outpost of the Brooklyn classic, has a great location. Their breakfast was so good that I ate there twice. The staff was extremely gracious and welcoming. My only regret is not ordering any cheesecake. Thanks, folks!

Friedman's is in the Hotel Edison in Times Square. Their menu includes many gluen-free options. I ordered pancakes, which I think were not GF, and eggs. The pancakes were heavenly and the breakfast hearty. The staff was great. Thanks, folks!

Dinner at Patsy's in New York

I don't know why I waited so long to visit Patsy's, a New York classic and favorite of Frank Sinatra. The food was superb: eggplant parmigana, broccoli rabe, and of course a cannoli. The proprietor cruised the dining room checking on the patrons and I really enjoyed my conversation with him. Thanks, folks

Thursday Night is Steak Night at North Lincoln HyVee

It took me a couple of weeks to try out this enticing offer at the north Lincoln HyVee. What a great dinner! I ordered green beans and corn with my steak. Baked potato is another popular option. The staff was very friendly and the line just kept growing. I sat in the dining room and enjoyed my steak dinner. Thanks, folks!

My fussy French toast topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and Georgia pecans. Delicious! I am grateful for the opportunity to make and eat such a wonderful meal.

At The Airport: Lunch at Varasano's Pizzeria at ATL
