I joined my friends at Eureka! in Irvine to catch up and discuss. This being California, outdoor dining was easy and comfortable. The staff was very busy and very friendly. My burger was tasty, my fries crispy and comforting. Thanks, folks!

I have visited The Pie Hole's original location in LA. I was very happy to see their outpost in Old Town Orange. They carry a huge selection of amazing pies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I took away a slice of their amazing, subtle Earl Grey pie. It made a rich, luxurious breakfast. Thanks, folks!

Orange, located near the center of Orange County, is a charming town. Its name gives its history away---the town was at the center of the California citrus country. Today, it is a thriving bedroom commmunity that retains its charm. I sat outside at Citrust City Grille to enjoy the food, the locale, and the hundreds of people enjoying this Summer of Summers. My meal started with delicious bread and olive oil for dipping. My salad was the perfect antidote to a long drive, healthy and flavorful. My salmon was excellent, tender and moist. My server was very gracious and helpful. Thanks, folks, for a wonderful evening in Southern California!

After a day in nature at Joshua Tree National Park, I was ready for a satisfying dinner. Edchadas looked promising and it definitely delivered. The restaurant was full of families enjoying life in the Summer of Summers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My chips were fresh and the salsa was superb with a smooth smokiness. My chili verde was wonderful: tender pork, flavorful sauce with just enough heat. Thanks, folks!

This is the summer of summers---we will never see another summer like this one. This unprecedented situation gives us the chance to enjoy simple pleasures: road trips, outdoors. I wanted to spend the day at Joshua Tree National Park and I needed lunch. Roadrunner Grab+Go at the park visitor's center had a wonderful selection of sandwiches that gave me exactly what I needed. I sat in the parking lot, enjoying my sandwich and the natural beauty. Thank you, Roadrunner, and thank you National Park Service!

I needed a solid breakfast before spending the day driving through Joshua Tree National Park. IHOP was the answer. Service was very friendly, food hit the spot. Thanks, folks!

The new Delta lounge at the new SLC airport is huge---I believe that it is the largest in the system. The food seemed to be pretty typical of Delta lounges. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location right now can require a long walk from certain parts of the airport. I expect that will change when an additional underground passageway is completed. Thanks, folks!
