When I was a kid, our family spent many Sunday mornings at Village Inn. We all indulged. Mom went whole hog with the dutch baby apple pancake, a huge concoction that took forever. She could never finish it but she ordered it anyway. Village Inn don't serve the dutch baby any more but Mom and I enjoyed our breakfast there. It was a nostalgia trip but also just plain good food.
Mom ordered the strawberry crepes. They were properly indulgent and she really enjoyed them.
I ordered the veggie omelet. It was very well prepared with nice vegetables and it got me going after a late start. Luckily, it came with a side of mini-pancakes, so I got to indulge as well.
