I spent a night in Haines Junction on my Alaska Highway trip. Village Bakery became my go-to meal souirce. Located a block off the Highway, it provides all sorts of great meals served with a smile.
My first visit was this great ham sandwich, perfectly toasted.
I happened to be there on Friday night, which is salmon bake night. I reserved a plate, of course. When dinner came, I was greeted by this superb meal: loaded with tasty vegetables, topped with a beautiful piece of smoked salmon. All of this was served in the heart of Yukon salmon territory.
For breakfast the next morning, I picked up this delicious scone and a big cup of coffee to keep me going on the road. Thanks, folks!
